Beyonce is playing Etta James in the film Cadallic Records.

Beyoncé portrays music legend Etta James in Cadillac Records, a film that chronicles the rise of Chess Records and its recording artists. "This is the first time I felt that naked and vulnerable acting," she tells Essence. "After I finished the scene, me, my mom, my acting coach, [my cousin and executive assistant] Angie, we were all just jumping up and down, like, 'Oh my God, that was it!'"

About Us

Majic Groove Internet Radio (www.MajicGroove.com) - is a minority owned, operated, and supported radio station dedicated to connecting the world’s creative community through unique, high quality music, performance, and sports that informs, educates, entertains and inspires.

www.MajicGroove.Com "also known as Majic Groove" will establish deep ties to the local music community and will serve as a positive force in building the creative economy of the nation. Majic Groove will entertain and inform audiences with the best music of today and yesteryear, drawn from a wide variety of genres that reflect contemporary society and our diverse forms of musical expression. Majic Groove is committed to providing a venue for local musicians and bands " through recordings and live, in-studio performances " providing them wide exposure that would not otherwise be available.

Alongside the best in music, Majic Groove will play music that explores popular American music's influences and roots. Regular listeners will learn not only what new music is most worth listening to, but also what artists and musical traditions created the pathways to music today.

Beyond its broad musical palette, Majic Groove will bring news and information into greater focus for a new audience of public radio listeners. Majic Groove will launch principally as a music station with a limited number of newsbreaks, interviews and special features. While the music itself will always be primary, over time the broadcast schedule will become more complex, with added commentaries, vox pop, reviews, live performances, and other features that will make the station increasingly distinctive and compelling.
